Norwegian Cruise Line has kicked off a two-day promotion on repositioning cruises.

The Transatlantic and Repositioning Bonus Days offer, as it’s being called, is bringing $100 in on-board credits for sailings across the Atlantic, through the Panama Canal or up the Pacific coast of the USA.

As part of the promotion, customers booking repositioning cruises for the 2013-14 season also can get free cabin upgrades, and the offer also includes an e-coupon booklet with more than $300 in on-board discounts.

Fares for Norwegian’s upcoming fall repositioning cruises from Europe to the Caribbean start at $599 per person. Among the itineraries available is a 13-day sailing from Barcelona to Miami on the Norwegian Epic (departing Oct. 21) and a 14-day sailing from Copenhagen to Miami on the Norwegian Sun (departing Sept. 30).

Norwegian’s trans-Atlantic repositioning cruises in 2013 include an 11-day voyage from Miami to Barcelona on the Norwegian Epic (departing on April 20, 2013) and a 13-day return voyage on the same ship from Barcelona to Miami (departing on Oct. 20, 2013).

Norwegian trips through the Panama Canal on the Norwegian Jewel, Pearl, Star and Sun range from 14 to 17 days and start at $949 per person. Embarkation ports include Miami, New York and Los Angeles.

Other repositioning cruises include a 14-day voyage this fall on the Norwegian Star from New York to New Orleans. It begins Oct. 21 and includes stops in St. Thomas, Antigua, Barbados, Curacao, Aruba and Mexico.
