Paris’ Hôtel de Crillon Earns Fifth Star…

Posted on 16 August 2010

Hotel de CrillonExciting news from Paris: The Hôtel de Crillon, the historic luxury hotel in the Place de la Concorde (and at the foot of the Champs-Élysées), was recently awarded its Fifth Star, meeting the Secretary of State for Tourism’s criteria of the new classification for French hotels. This classification, which has been incorporated with international standards, eliminates the French custom of offering the four-star as the highest ranking.

The iconic hotel is one of the oldest and most famous in Paris, and is housed in a historic building (going back to 1758, when Dukes and Counts lived there) with 103 guest rooms and 44 suites. Today, it is a member of Leading Hotels of the World.
