US Airways’ October traffic falls…

US Airways says its October mainline traffic, measured in revenue passenger miles, fell 1.5% from a year ago to 4.9 billion.


Domestic traffic fell 3.2%, but its transatlantic flights rose 5.4%.


The carrier also reduced capacity by 1.7% to 5.9 billion available seat miles. The capacity cut helped US Airways increase its load factor – percentage of seats occupied – to a record 83.7%, up 0.1 point from a year ago
